Senior Living News & Events

Just like each person has their own personality, each group of people has its own unique culture. Within the Chapel Pointe family, our culture unifies us and sets us apart from the crowd.

Jonathan Doty, Director of Development and Outreach, has held a variety of leadership roles at Chapel Pointe for 26 total years. When he first started at Chapel Pointe, he even lived in an apartment that has since been converted into personal care / assisted living studios. Jonathan’s varied experience gives him unique insight into Chapel Pointe. He recently shared five reasons why the Chapel Pointe culture is special:

  • God’s direction and provision provide a thread of continuity. While I have seen other senior living communities stray from their original mission, Chapel Pointe’s leadership believes in God’s sovereignty and direction.
  • Many friends pray, and God listens to His praying people. Those who intercede for us may not realize what a blessing it is to be on the receiving end of these prayers.
  • We have wonderful, talented, and caring employees. They shine brightly because their everyday actions and attitudes demonstrate that they really care about the people they serve.
  • We have a personal touch. Sometimes as organizations grow, a special something gets lost in the shuffle, and the gap between leadership and the people they serve widens. As Chapel Pointe grows, our firm foundation on Christ helps us to keep people at the forefront of our mission. At the same time, we expect good financial decisions, as well. Our Godly mission calls us to be good stewards of everything, including our finances, people, and culture.
  • We experience the generosity of those who financially support Chapel Pointe. We are more than a local non profit; Chapel Pointe has a foundation of faith in action. Our partners come alongside us with support. Sometimes this looks like Chapel Pointe becoming a beneficiary in someone’s will. Other times, our partners contribute to our Benevolence Fund, which provides care and services for residents who otherwise could not afford them.

A Local Non Profit Organization Supporting Residents

Chapel Pointe at Carlisle is a continuing care retirement community affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance which serves and enhances the quality of life for people aged 62+ in Central Pennsylvania. We’re honored that our greater community sees the servant-heart of our local non profit organization and consistently selects Chapel Pointe as “The Best of Cumberland County.” With nonprofit jobs in a variety of fields, Chapel Pointe even earned the honor of being the Best Place to Work in Cumberland County.

Since the beginning, our team's mission has been to ensure that every resident is treated with love and  respect, including when they outlive their assets. Residents who’ve depleted their savings know that they can always call Chapel Pointe home because generous donors support the Benevolent Fund. Through this ministry, residents receive the housing, care, and support they need to live fulfilling lives surrounded by love.

If you believe in what we do, would you consider becoming a regular partner by financially supporting the ministry of benevolence? Donations to our local nonprofit are easy to make online and tax deductible.
