Free Concert on the Lawn & Fundraiser
Chapel Pointe invites the community to attend the 18th Annual Concert on the Lawn and enjoy shopping, bidding, eating, and listening to uplifting tunes while supporting local seniors in need. This fundraiser and community event will be held rain or shine on Saturday, September 15, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Chapel Pointe, at 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
The live music beginning at 11 a.m. is completely free! Emcee Pete Einstein of SonPower Ministries will provide his unique blend of contemporary Christian music. Guitarist and vocalist Ken Kipp will also preside musically, offering a mix of inspirational and timeless songs. Concert on the Lawn fundraising initiatives include:
- A huge indoor yard sale, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., featuring a wide array of home goods and furniture.
- An indoor silent auction, from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., where attendees can bid on items ranging from gift baskets and gift cards to sports tickets and tours donated by local individuals and businesses.
- A food sale, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Order lunch favorites like barbecue pork sandwiches, beef brisket sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, chips, coleslaw, soups, and drinks.
- A bake sale, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Choose from a wide assortment of baked goods.
All proceeds from Concert on the Lawn benefit Chapel Pointe’s Benevolent Care Fund. As a non-profit continuing care retirement community dedicated to providing a loving way of life, Chapel Pointe promises that, once people make the investment to reside at Chapel Pointe, they may live there and receive services for the rest of their lives, even if they run out of funds. The Benevolent Care Fund covers the costs of living and care for those seniors who have outlived their assets.
